Arducane Development, formerly RDWonline Designs & Productions, presented its first PHP/MySQL-powered search engine in September 2002. Ronald spent a large amount of time converting his colossal vinyl record and CD collection to mp3 format, and needed a utility that would allow him to catalog and retain a fairly accurate record of this collection in one centralized location. This project was so convoluted that Ronald was able to use it as his final presentation for his A548 Mastering the World Wide Web course at Indiana University.
Formerly coined rdwmp3online, rdwmusical was refined to allow RDWonline webmaster Ronald D. Willis to put his graduate studies in information architecture and design to applicable use and to showcase more of his skills in web programming and database design. Users will be able to interact with a live data listing of Ronald's music collection via standardized displays, or create a customized display using either of the search engines.
To elevate Ronald's skill set, this third and final release of rdwmusical was reprogrammed using object-oriented PHP (as the rest of RDWonline v7.0: The Seoquouloxolocadium). In addition, this web application was optimized using XHTML 1.1 web page structural standards, with each page using over 90% CSS2 design.
